Here's a good thought to welcome and fire up the new year: What makes us? What fires us up and gets us going?
This is one overrated topic, yet underrated I think. Because we don't ever address the main issue. Or we just don't realize how we need to alter certain parts of a resolution or thought or even plan we make for the year as we move along.
But I think what really makes us changes from time to time. As much as we all make plans, we still do live in the moment. I hardly think about life and what could come but sometimes I make these plans, plans I want to partake and make happen but I realize they aren't exactly in reach until the moment comes in place no matter how fast time passes. At some point in life, we just need to learn how to embrace these moments in life and understand that we can never have the exact same moment back, ever again.
For myself, at this very point, is leaving the place I call home starting anew in another one. I'm going to Melbourne, Australia to complete my studies for about nearly a year or so. 2013 is going to be a year of extreme exploration and discovery (I do learn new things about myself and people, and life in general every single year as I grow but) because of a literal new environment. Feelings of excitement, fear, happiness and actually, readiness to embrace a brand new lifestyle are all curled up in a ball of emotions within me. I feel lost, but whole, like I can kick 2013 in its face and feel like I'm about to finish up with school and start something else when I get back, just as I got inspired to start Pocketto in 2012.
I do talk about my life in this space. But when I do, I try to tear it down into bits and pieces but that doesn't mean I'm writing for the sake of looking a certain way, I just choose to write a little more sensibly and remember the good parts or of things to remind myself. I think that makes you a little more aware of things in life. It's like understanding yourself after breaking something down thoroughly. I just think a lot more than I have and opened up my eyes to so many other things and issues, and just life itself.
So what makes you then? What's up this 2013?
I'd love to hear if you've got something.

(15) Honey Bee - Zee Avi #nowplaying
Here's one from the lovely Zee Avi. I've been paying a little more attention to some of her songs as of late and I love how it always makes me feel uber lighthearted no matter how odd my day gets. I'm impressed how far she has come with her extremely humble beginnings. Avi started out small in her home country, Malaysia and then got spotted by Patrick Keeler of The Raconteurs (if you've ever heard Steady As She Goes, it's by them) and then getting signed on with Brushfire (where Jack Johnson, singer of Banana Pancakes is part of too) records. You can check out more of Zee Avi and her page here.
In other news, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Can't believe I've made it thus far, especially with my efforts at work and Pocketto hahah. But Christmas is about to come to a close. Or at least where I am at (or live or point in life) just permits that it's over. But I genuinely hope you had a pleasant one, even though mine wasn't extremely eventful. I guess it's the endless amount of errands plus work and awkward hours making me just lifeless. I don't even remember coming to the end of December so soon until I was reminded that it's the 28th. Which also means, my driving test is about to come back and haunt me. They always say third time's a charm, so it really, better be.
It's been a crazy hectic week and I'm working (hard) to get my very first collaboration with a really awesome bunch of people (keep guessing!) up before 2012 comes to a close. Let's just hope it will all fall in place and there will be enough goodies to go around for all you guys. I hope it won't disappoint so just watch out for it.
Thank you for sticking around if you've been! I can't say how much I appreciate it but fingers crossed, we'll make Pocketto better than ever. A big thank you again, and have a good night (:

(14) Recovery
It's been a long haul prepping up loads of stuff for this month (and there's more to come!) but I've finally hit a wall just for today. I promised an update for The Tiniest Gifting Guide but in order to make sure it's not churned out for the sake of it, I decided not to update it for now. In any case you guys were wondering, the next one's going to touch down a little bit on travel (stuff) so keep a look out for it!
Work was crazy tiring. Hectic day shifting shoes around at the warehouse yesterday and set-up at the departmental store. I love being a retail personnel but today just happens to be one of the days where I just feel like sitting down and stone or even just start weeping to myself because I'm just extremely tired. It's nice to know some customers can be really sweet people. It just makes me feel like the world always has an extremely good or better side to all the shit that happens.
But on a bright note, Christmas is coming and I feel elated that it is! Then this came to mind:
Cutest video ever heh. So many dumb ways to die, yes?
I don't know what to say (I'm about to fall asleep on my keyboard) but thank you for reading if you do and I appreciate it. I'm finally hitting 6 months with Pocketto and plans (or maybe plans isn't the right term) are extremely sketchy as I try to figure some things along the way. So many times I ask myself why do I write and what for? Then I got the answer from a book I bought recently titled, Steal Like An Artist, on how we've got to act on ideas and make it real even though we've got nothing concrete (more on where that came from soon) on hand. Just fake it until you feel it. You never know when you might just hit jackpot. As of now I'm just trying to curate as many ideas as I can and record these valuable ideas (and random ones) and hopefully end up somewhere.
Good luck it is. Good night!

The Tiniest Gifting Guide: Great Reads and Dos
We all need a great read at some point this time of the year, either for a literal great read, as a wake up call, inspiration, to help us come to a resolution for the new year, or just for a really good laugh. I'm just going to take it a few books at a go but let's just hope none of us explodes.
Pictures grabbed from Fredflare
I'm sure some of us have explorer friends or just one in us to give us enough reason to want to lay your hands on this one. This lovely (pocket-able) scrach map travel journal contains 8 mini scratch maps with a different part of the world on each one of it, along with a planner and diary, plus some handy information you may require for travel. It's as if every time you head to somewhere new you get to scratch off some part of the map - motivation for travel it is!
If you would love one of these to reward a wanderlust or just the explorer in you, check it out here.
2. For one with a lack of: Lines For All Occasions - Insults & Comebacks
1. For the traveller and explorer in you: Travelogue

2. For one with a lack of: Lines For All Occasions - Insults & Comebacks

Images grabbed from ASOS
Know someone who's always running out of something like a witty comeback to your nasty lines? I bet all of us have that one friend (I'm that friend at some points hah) and this would make a really peculiar gift but hey, in the name of fun and a good laugh, why not? It's oddly funny and a rather witty read and a good refresher for some new lines. Who knows, you might even make these lines the new black (or comeback line).
Got someone in mind who needs this extra boost? Find the best insults here.
3. For the arty/ outgoing/ best friend: Kinfolk
Kinfolk is an emerging publication that has created waves of anticipation and excitement over their lovely take on gatherings and wonderful photography and art direction. They are a growing community of artists and share an interest in small gatherings and see something about a table shared. What makes me love Kinfolk is that it is an absolutely wonderful read, filled with things you can do, possible adventures and lovely inspiring images you would want to make your own (into reality, that is).
I just thought this would be an absolutely appropriate (and inspiring gift) for your friend who loves making food for the group or one who appreciates carefully thought outfits, layouts and great photography.
You may subscribe your wonderful friend to Kinfolk online here. This lovely magazine may also be purchased online (such as Amazon) at your friendly bookstores or magazine stands (such as Kinokuniya or Borders). Singaporean readers may also find it at local store, Rockstar by Soon Lee.
4. For the fun-loving doodlers:
Mess - The Manual of Accidents and Mistakes by Keri Smith
Mess - The Manual of Accidents and Mistakes by Keri Smith
Images grabbed from Modcloth
There definitely was a time where you were doodling non-stop in your textbooks, had an obsession with scribbling notes to pass around to your friends, write funny letters or just simply wanted something to write on. Well this is it, a book that makes you do doodles on it (or more like you might not bear to draw on it). Keri Smith has nailed it again, bringing out my inner child (she's got other wonderful random publications like this as well!). It is definitely all things random in one (which is why I love it!) made into an awesome compilation that you won't want to miss.
This would be highly appropriate for old-times' sake, for a friend who had itchy hands (and might have possibly ruined a lot of things with doodles), or just for fun! Find this messy manual here.
5. For a great read/ inspiration:
It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be by Paul Arden
I've had this book and I've picked it up a few times (randomly) from the top shelf just to give it a quick read as a great reminder of what I can do. This makes an absolutely great, wonderful, self-regenerating and on top of it all, a comforting read. It's nice to know the impossible can always be made possible and we can always make it if we do it right or convert our potentials in the best or most appropriate ways.
In case you were wondering, this book was (the very first book) written by "advertising guru" Paul Arden and he has written two others; Whatever You Think, Think The Opposite and God Explained In A Taxi Ride. I've read the them and thought they were extremely enlightening and helpful in understanding certain aspects of making it in life and other skeptical ideas. If you're game for it, I think the set of three would make a great combo, and could potentially change the way you see things, or if not, rethink some things or just second-guess ideas again.
If you would like to help a friend of yours or even yourself to set a target or new year's resolution after a good thought or revelation, find this great read via bookstores (like Borders or Kino), or online (via sites like Amazon or Phaidon and more).
= = = = =
Well that's all for now! Hope I didn't overload on this one (it's supposedly tiny) and I hope it helped give you some awesome ideas on what you can possibly give this Christmas. I'm still in the midst of getting other things ready (and fixing my Modcloth link), so if you've got anything you might wanna share with me, just holla over at the comment box or on Facebook via the link on your right!
It's going to be another hectic week but I hope to get some other things ready and possibly mail out cards if you would like one (would you want one?) but I'm super excited for Christmas and a turkey-ful dinner with my lovely friends. Can't wait!
So anyway let me know if you've got an address you don't mind me to write to (I want some pen pals hahah) and if you would love a Christmas card from Pocketto (still undergoing some work)! I'll be glad to hear about your Christmas (with pictures too if you will) and I can share it here too (:
Have a great night!

Svefn g englar - Sigur Rós #midweektune
I had them on my mind for the longest time after watching them live just about a week ago and thought this song made an appropriate tune for the mid-week (for the start of this Christmas that is about to pop into fireworks really soon) - it's as if I had painted out the sheer beauty of a calm sea despite the storm (with a hectic work week).
Watching Sigur Ros was a truly beautiful moment, one of those that would be etched in your mind forever (despite some downs with the girl woes damn). It's going to sound a little too emotional to be true but the music they make just makes you feel like you were bathing in it. It's literally music (even God-sent at some points) to your ears. I felt like I was going to burst into tears at some point because everything just felt so in unison and suddenly made a perfect harmony happen, and the only thing that comes to mind is how beautiful everything seemed at that single point I was inhaling every high and low from the intensity of the music itself.
That was that, and then I shed a tear and felt like I could actually embrace that moment and bathe in it, and feel whole again. Felt seriously surreal but o-k that was really how I felt about it (I know it's sounding a little extreme).
I don't think Sigur Ros needs a real introduction but if you haven't heard of them, they're Icelandic for a start and they make tunes that can make you fall to your knees (a little extreme I know but hey, how true is that?). Here's a clip of them live back in 2001 and trust me they still make magic until today and I'm amazed how they made it all happen.
Anyway it's been a crazy week (as it always it, again) at work this time because Rockstar (aka the place I'm a slave to hahah) is setting up a new store. I hope to meet more people and just have a good time at work more than I have at Cineleisure but that doesn't mean I won't miss that place. Time flies. I'm beat from the lack of sleep with eyebags the size of Russia. I need help because I won't stop dreaming (literally).
Goodnight and have an amazing weekend coming!

PSSST! Christmas is coming on Pocketto!
Hello there! We've got to keep you waiting for something to happen (I'm still trying to make everything roll out, hopefully!) but hey, we're going to make sure this will be an exciting one on board this tiny space! Pocketto is about to host its very first Christmas and make its real official debut/launch!
Check back for a very special giveaway (we're sure most of you will love it!) for this Christmas, alongside with a guest feature and a possible collaboration with someone you love (hint: they just started growing!). We'll try to keep you at bay, because we love you and want to keep providing you (and keep improving ourselves!) with a good thought/read/share or just simply, anything random.
Have a great start to December, in just a bit!

(12) Failure
You know as the saying goes, practice makes perfect? I certainly think so.
Welcome, November!
I have failed my driving test for the second time again. Not too sure what to make of it but I guess I could deal with it. I can't decide how is it worth the effort and having every test to cost a bomb. Well that's just life isn't it? Overused but failure is just another new start to get in touch with yourself and ask yourself the right questions again and again, and put yourself back up.
This isn't a worthy piece of art but a random wr(ant)ite-out. It's been a tough October so I hope this month will bring me more ease than it has already been. Decided to make do with whatever I had in hand so pardon me if it's not as it was intended. October's been a whirl with the exams but I'm glad it's over. The following pictures and items are a random depiction of my extremely average life for that month and the start of November that has passed faster than the wind.
From top: Saltwaters at the train station, finished bottle of Nutella, a friend's Yashica MG-1,
Peko-chan (Poko's love in chocolate form), home made Rosti meal, an afternoon in bed
Peko-chan (Poko's love in chocolate form), home made Rosti meal, an afternoon in bed
It's hard to explain the kind of feeling where everything feels right, and in place.
I experience extremities in one day. I laugh really hard at jokes and feel mad emotional and upset about results I cannot attain at some points in life. I don't understand what's the real fuss but I guess exploring and understanding certain aspects about yourself can be rather liberating. Expression is key, and I'm getting a better hang of it overtime (taking it as a form of art I guess?).
Certain emotions like feeling ready and being aware of your current situation are highly underrated. How can we know when is the right time or situation to feel a certain way? Why do we need a state to dictate how we are supposed to feel? Stereotypes are just, but stereotypes. They create an illusion of a reality we need to observe but they aren't binding as they seem, as people think they are. The last thing I would want to go through is to be shackled down, mentally, by things I cannot fathom.
Have you understood you thoroughly then?

Nobody's Ghost - Drug Cabin #nowplaying
I chanced upon this on an absolutely random late-night at Starbucks studying my ass off. This song really caught on to me. I was enjoying every single song on this playlist that I literally recorded down the titles of every single song that came on to try and compile it. It was a stupid thing to do trying to Shazam songs but I had fun in the midst of scribbling notes like a machine. Thought I would share this because it really stood out a lot to me.
Drug Cabin is a Los Angeles based act by Nathan Thelen who is also guitarist of Moonrats, Pretty Girls Make Graves. This emerged as his solo project and despite its slightly more mellow tunes, there is some sunshine layered on top of it. I'm not too sure how to describe this feeling exactly but it makes me feel like I'm in a good place. Give it a listen if you would try. His other songs are absolutely wonderful too and is definitely going to be worth your time and ears (promise!). Either that or check out Drug Cabin on Facebook via here.
On a lighter note, this torturous bout of my school semester is about ending. I know this hasn't been a great place to be in the recent weeks but I will definitely work on it and make this a better one in the next few months to come. Directions, directions... They can get a little annoying sometimes but do keep up and we'll definitely (try to) have more juice for you.
I'm thinking along the lines of ideals and the idea of being idealistic. Or create a topic for the month. Do you have anything in mind or something you would like to know or read about? I'm curious. Share it if you can I'm all ears, definitely. Find pocketto here.

Thought (01)
Have you ever had a dream of some sort? Where you wished you could have been in a fierce looking office suit carrying that thousand dollar bag and own it all? I guess we all have. Or at least at some point in life wished we had "the life" (the best kind).
I came to a revelation (I guess I took awhile) as I was speaking with a friend of mine, that we are different people every year even though we're stuck in the same body... except that we age as time moves along. 2011 me would probably tell 2010 me to stop sobbing over life that there is a lot more to it than settling down for something... and 2004 me would probably ask me now why do I have colored hair when I swore I would never have it.
That being said, we all make the stupidest mistakes and take the hardest falls and here's crossing my fingers that I actually took some lessons with me from all of it before I start regretting and let future me shake her head in disappointment at the choices I make. Then again, how many rights can there be if there were no wrongs to begin with?

(10) Grand Hiatus y/n?
This quickly sums up the past month. Well, most of it. As you can see, Instagram has done a good load by making sure my phone serves its camera functions. I get bored easily but not of this, yet.
What's a great picture? A crazy amount of filters or is it perspective? Or is it just taking a picture of a great subject? We all get confused don't we. I can't say for sure it's awesome work, after all it's an amateur's take with a layman phone camera. Well I don't know if it's scary how mobiles and social media is changing the way we do and look at things but hey, it's about the biggest revelation since the industrial revolution (so I was paying attention to some part of lecture).
Anyway, getting back on the real issue. I can't decide if I'm really away because I can't seem to stay away from sharing random things at the moment. Work is starting to hit me like a giant wave with no stop to it. Not until next Tuesday is over.
Lastly, here's a surprising number from Norah Jones with Say Goodbye on her most recent album, Little Broken Hearts. Please do give it a listen, it will not disappoint, I promise! I hope these Monday blues will start going away already.

Absolutely random
I have no idea why but I randomly remembered that I had this illustration stuck in my hard drive for a long while. Drew this during my internship for a client but it didn't materialize into something. I wished it did though. The internship forced me to work for so many things but I guess it only meant one thing; we're past the stage where we didn't understand life and stuck around simple things and just laughed.
'Tis the season for a million Mini Coopers and Mercedes cars in (the school) carpark. I'm not even kidding. But I love the idea of having a car (and drawing one...) so anything goes.
This shall serve to be a good reminder. One fine day...
Work for the weekend!

Good Monday (08)
Good Monday to you I am officially in hibernation mode as I try to keep zen from the piles and piles of school work starting to hit me in the face like a bitch. Looks like I won't be able to invest too much time or effort in the next two weeks in my interests or my little space because the outside world is about to drain me of it.
Just thought I would share some music before I get out of the zone. I'm currently listening to a lot of floaty (no I don't mean it any way else, but literally; I feel floaty listening to it) tunes... which includes Alex Turner and his Submarine OST (lovely movie it is!). I never got over the movie and not the songs either. I'm in for the Arctic Monkeys so you can't count me out on this... So here's some lovin' with Glass In The Park by Turner for Submarine.
Well, I can't decide if I'm supposed to sad or just heartbroken like a real fool but I feel that when I listen to it. I don't know. Do you have a song that makes you sigh and want to pretend all of this never existed and melt into the walls and just watch everyone else? I guess we all do... At some point in life, we all have.
I guess, it's that time of the year... Where I shuffle my feet and can never decide what I want out of it.

Louis Vuitton: The Art Of Packing
This really shows how looking good can definitely go beyond surfaces. Neat, smart, lovely, uber rich and luxurious. Just when you thought Louis Vuitton was going to stay the same for awhile... This really took me by surprise. I'm absolutely in love with the art direction and the video itself!
Gotta thank my classmate, Syimmy for this. Extremely captivated by the whole look of it!
Anyway I'm not sure if most of you are audiophiles (I'm guessing you probably insist on some quality music with no sound issues) and I know records are not the rage anymore but I'm having a fury of ideas churning in my mind like a washing machine... Maybe I'll find time to address them. Soon enough. But if you've got some (records or ideas I'm all in!), I'm definitely all ears (even if it's just music, or your homemade videos/music or just a simple idea)! Just holla over them over via comment or Facebook, I'll be glad to hear them out!

Things: Out of Print
from Out of Print
Are you in love with any of the above titles (or heard of them)? Or are you an avid fan of Threadless tees? Because I certainly am (in love with some of the above titles and Threadless tees, and I guess most of us would have at least one of those)! But here's a slightly more serious than punny alternative I would say. That is, if you love books, this is definitely an absolute heaven for you. It's where the best of the best meets; it's not just about the books, but your favourite titles on your preferred choice of merch.
from Out of Print
Out of Print basically puts your favourite title onto your everyday tee or tote; it celebrates the world's greatest stories through fashion. You can definitely expect (mostly) iconic and even some rare covers (that are out of print) that you can wear and take out.
Other than tees and totes, there are a tonne of other stuff you may love such as the actual titles themselves (extremely good titles on site for a great read), iPhone cases, stationery, coasters, wonderful gift ideas and such available on site. Prices start from an extremely reasonable range which you can check out over here. And for all readers, Out of Print also has an active book club where people can share their favourite reads and vote for them.
Aside from providing wonderful wearable (and usable) titles, Out of Print also works for a much greater cause as you shop with them. They have recognized that many people from all over the world do not have access to books and work towards changing that by donating a book to a community in need for every product sold (another great cause to shop for!) through their partner, Books For Africa. You may check out how it works via their site here.
Hope this helped in kick starting yet another hectic week. Absolutely in love with these items and the concept itself... On an extremely random note, it's finally break week again. This would have been absolutely appropriate if I was able to find time and make some nice purchases to take my mind off for a read but it looks like I might have to put off some of these plans away for awhile.
Work and more work to come. So bear with me a little longer for more to come (still haven't got to solving some technical problems)! No way to go but up once things get back on track (;
Good day, some luck for the week ahead!

Carla Bruni - Quelqu'un m'a dit #nowplaying
It's been a hectic week and it will be another hectic week ahead and I guess it's about the same for everyone else in school.
This song came to mind as I was searching for something "quiet" and "calming". I thought it would be appropriate for times like this and I hope you love it. Carla Bruni is a true beauty and lovely songwriter. If you've caught (500) Days of Summer (also one of my all-time favourites, in fact already my #1 movie), this one's on the soundtrack.
But on an extremely random note, a cup of coffee would do some good. I've just had one of the oddest or should I say almost awkward time having a haircut but I guess it's funny to see how people function. All in all I love my stylist because she's absolutely cute and wonderful.
In any case, have a happy weekend coming your way!

Your perfect Sunday tune #nowplaying
Here's a tune to cure your Sunday blues and greens (aka pre-Monday blues) by a lovely friend of mine, Serene who goes by her alter ego Scribble Giraffe. How appropriate is this! Loving the bubbly jingle and lyrics we can all agree with.
If you like what you're listening to, click away to Scribble Giraffe on Soundcloud here! There's a lot more amazing stuff going in there and this cutesy giraffe definitely deserves some lovin'! (; Alternatively, you may check out Serene's space over at whyserene.com over here!
It's been an eventful week but there's been some set backs at the moment for pocketto due to technical and software issues but rest assured there will be more stuff coming your way. Because we meant it when we said more awesome stuff and affiliates are on the way!
Anyway, how's your Sunday been? Hope it's not bogged down by work and all (loads of projects and last minute work to deal with)... But hey on the bright side, it's going to be a brand new lovely week!
Have a great one!

The Great Impression - Sparkadia #midweektune
Here's one from Sparkadia for this week. Love the insanely smooth vocals that Alexander Burnett has and the consistency of the whole album (also titled The Great Impression, do give it a listen!) and extremely impressed that he churned all of this as a solo project. Absolutely worth a listen!
It's been yet another busy week as work and training as well as school being a chore. There's a test to be done and all I am obsessed about is new shoes at the warehouse sale (which I've been working very hard at).
In any case for everyone who's expecting a wrath of fury at the Rockstar by Soon Lee sales, please do because there are so many good deals and plenty of shoe sizes. Just come early, will do!
Have a wonderful week ahead.

On: The Olympics
Usain Bolt inching forward to create yet another world record.
The Olympic motto, "Citius, Altius, Fortius", is a Latin expression that translates to "Faster, Higher, Stronger". Most of us see the Olympics as a platform for glory. We know what it's like to strive for the best and have a taste of victory at some points in life (for example winning your school race or accomplishing something you've always wanted to do). We know these people are here to compete and put on a show, so on and so forth.
But what we (at times) do not realize is that the games represent something more... It is a contest for the strong-spirited who are willing to conquer endeavors, and congratulate one another despite the outcomes. On top of it all, it is a game that embodies "Friendship, Respect and Excellence".
Oscar Pistorius of South Africa realized his dream and became the first Paralympian to qualify in the 400m race event. He finished second in his heat with an astonishing timing of 45.44s.
Oscar Pistorius of South Africa and Kirani James of Grenada exchanging bibs after the 400m finals race. Despite finishing last, Pistorius was only two seconds behind James who won Gold in the event.
More importantly, the games are one of the major events that brings the world together, it helps unite everyone in a certain harmony that we cannot quite comprehend. It is a shared language we all understand without even having to try, one of the only ones next to music. A lot of us find ourselves glued to the television or wanting to know what happens in the action or at least just be in the know.
We hate it, we love it, we don't know about it then we ask questions - it all leads us to talking about the games and making people unite for a shared interest.
Great Britain's women's soccer team made an OT goal to have a place at the gold medal match and spurred a roaring reaction from the crowds.
Sometimes it is inevitable (afterall, there is only one gold medal for every event) that we face disappointments watching the ones we support lose out (huge support for Malaysian shuttler, Lee Chong Wei who was up against Lin Dan of China), but it's OK, because we know these people have given it their best shot.
"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."
- Coubertin's ideals expressed in The Olympic Creed
And I think this is something many people fail to see; because it is not losing that is the real failure, it is the failure to be involved and to want to participate in something that makes you the real loser.
It's going to sound entirely cheesy but having experienced some of the Olympic magic during my short working stint at the Youth Olympic Games, my love for the games have been cast in stone. It was beyond awesome meeting new people and athletes from all over the world and on top of it all forging meaningful friendships in just 20 days (I get so emotional everytime I think about the amount of effort and fun they are going to put in and have throughout the games hahah). But if ever you have a chance to be a part of it, go for it!
Anyway, it has thus far been an amazing showdown between most of the athletes. Singapore's finally made new history by bagging two bronzes this games, and still rooting for #TeamUSA in the basketball mens and women's quarterfinals!
My apologies for the extremely lengthy post on this one hahah, but have a wonderful Tuesday!

Shuffle - Bombay Bicycle Club #midweektune
Just another tune to perk up this random week. Sipping on some hot chocolate and grooving out in bed to this video is absolutely appropriate.
I am obsessed. Jack Steadman and Lucy Rose has nailed it again.
How are you feeling (this week) then?

pocket daily (06) + things
Hello there, it's been hectic the past week and I haven't had the time to share some random pictures I took via instagram during the weekend before so I thought this would be appropriate. Homemade pasta is yummy and my beat up nano is really just... beat up. Alright.
On an extremely random note, I have used my Happy Socks a couple of times over the last two weeks! They are too comfy and cute so it is now compulsory to get a pair (at least) for yourself. I think they look smashing with any kind of shoes and this is why I can't hate it (and made it a thing):

via thrashness
These are not the new thing but now that I finally caught onto it (after several conflicting issues regarding the financial aspect of buying a pair for myself even though I was madly in love with it but got a pair as a gift) I really think it can be purely secondary. They even have pretty leggings for you ladies and socks for different styles and oh-so-precious designs to suit you!
Prices start from about SGD14 onwards at stores like Actually and Rockstar by Soon Lee and more so you know, it's never too late (sometimes I'm too much of a laggard) to own a pair!
I've yet to catch up on sleep I missed over the weekend that just past due to an insane amount of work to finish up... about time.
But keep your eyes peeled! More exciting things are coming your way because pocketto finally has a new affiliate (;
Goodnight!
